bye, bye!

The time has come...i'm done with this blog! It takes forever to upload pictures and that was the whole reason that i started this blog. I found something better -- it's like a blog
http://isanatsta.shutterfly.com/
I can upload pictures a lot faster and there's a link to Nate's you tube page where i try to upload small videos of Izzy.
I'm sorry this had to end :) but i hope you enjoy the shutterfly blog as much as i do!

First Fathers Day...

Here is a great photo to remind us how much daughters LOVE their dads! Isabella and Nate have similar tastes in hats. Happy Father's Day Nate!

Mother's day...

My first Mother's Day has come and gone...and what made this day most special is that i got to spend it with my mom. It was actually a pretty busy weekend -- Isabella's Baptism was also an event.

Weekends like that one make me appreciate our Families and wish we could spend more time together. I'm looking forward to Isabella growing up with her cousins and hope that my parents will visit more often -- for those of you who know me, that last line might sound like i'm losing my mind - but it is absolutely wonderful to see my Dad hold bella and my Mom wait anxiously for her turn to hold her. Or the two of them making funny faces and sounds to try to get her to smile. Priceless...

Ok - so enough of the random thoughts --

How time flies!

I know it's been a LONG time since i've entered this blog...sorry. I really enjoy laying around holding Isabella, playing on the floor, and simply just watching her sleep better than anything else right at the moment. I keep telling myself to enjoy these times -- you know the holding and squeezing, and even the tears -- because they won't last long. Before i know it she's going to be telling me "no" and not letting me hold her and i'll wish for these days again. And these days seem to just fly by!
I started back to work on monday and everyday i come home i swear she grows a little. She's starting to smile a little more, not just when she's sleeping -- and she's starting to hold her head up when we play on the floor. Soon she'll start to roll and next she'll want a new car, LOL. I know it won't happen that fast, but it sure does feel like it somedays.

Growing up fast!

Isabella is three weeks old today...still on her own schedule (not mine) and gets what she wants, when she wants it. I don't know how much longer that will last -- who am i kidding -- that will probably last her whole life. The good news is that the construction on the house, all the noise the workers are making, is not affecting her afternoon nap. She sleeps right thru all the banging and sawing -- me on the other hand, i think i've had enough :) and sadly this is cutting into my afternoon nap - which is well needed - so here are some pics of bella and the house (windows and doors are in, roof is done - now on to the interior stuff). ENJOY!

An update on the house

I thought you might like to see what the front of our house looks like. We're three weeks in the project and things are moving along. Our front yard is changing into the new addition - and it's exciting!
One thing that's nice is that all the banging and sawing and drilling doesn't bother Isabella -- she sleeps right thru it all.

Isabella's First...

...doctor's visit - and she did great.
Her life is full of firsts --- first car ride, first encounter with Mercedes and Buster, first smile, first bath, first OMG scream, the list of firsts is endless.
Any-who, Doctor Alexander said she looks good and passed all her tests. And I was so proud when the nurse took some blood from her tiny foot and all Isabella did was let out a little scream, like someone surprised her, and that's it! I can only dream that all the doctor's appointments will go that well -- i know, i know, wishful thinking :) Anyway, this is Isabella before leaving for her appointment -- too cute not to share.

Introducing (again) the Star of the Blog...

Isabella Marie! Just thought you would enjoy some more pictures...so here's one of that hair I was telling you about and other that was just too cute not to post. I'm sure there will be a million more to follow, so stay tuned :)
She has been a perfect baby so far - ok, so i might be a little biased. The first night in the hospital was a little rough, but last night was A LOT better. Isabella still got up a few time thru the night to eat or remind me and nate to change her diaper - but by morning she slept for a solid five hours -- woo-hoo!! I remember putting her in her bassinet around 3:30 last night and I didn't wake up till around nine. When I did wake up, I found Nate and Isabella in the living room enjoying morning coffee and the news :) Just too cute.
Today, Isabella and I hung out all day! It's amazing how someone so little can take over your whole world. I love watching her sleep...as long as i'm not trying to sleep at the same time. I love watching her look around...i wonder what she's thinking. I love listening to her "coo" and cry...i wonder what she's saying. I'm amazed! And so happy :) Enjoy the pics!

Isabella Marie - Day #1

Isabella Marie was born this morning at 5:43am after a long night for Nate and I.

It all started last night when the hospital called at 6pm telling us to come in...just as we were on our way to get dinner...that's how it goes right :) Anyway, we made it to the hospital and without crazy details - like i said before - Isabella was born this morning. She was 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 in long. She is absolutely perfect. A full head of dark hair, big blue eyes and tiny little toes and fingers. So sweet!

It started this morning!

I'm not talking about contractions...I'm talking about contractors :) The concrete guy came this morning and dug out the driveway and path to the front door, so when I woke up this morning and looked out the front door - that's what I saw. Soooo, i decided to get ready and go run around for the day - one, to stay out of Nate's hair and two, those concrete guys are noisy ;) -- so I went shopping...nothing fun - just killin' time. Then when I came home, the second pic is what a saw -- let's hope it doesn't rain! It's exciting to see it all get started! Next, the plumber is coming tomorrow - can't wait!!

Almost...

Well, here we are...37 weeks and 6 days :) I thought for sure Baby Hubbell would make her Grand Entrance this weekend...only because I had a hair appointment yesterday and a mani/pedi appointment today...but I was wrong. I guess she's not ready yet -- I am. My nights seem to be longer with less sleep and constant uncomfortableness. My days, really haven't changed all that much except when i'm teaching I get winded pretty fast (the kids love that, that I can't talk as long or as much)...and everyone I run into asks me fun questions like "you're still here?" or "WHEN is your due date?". All part of the fun. Nate and I still haven't picked a name...things could get more interesting :) Speaking of getting more interesting -- we start to remodel our home this monday! I know, I know...what perfect timing. But when its all done we will love the addition!

The Nursery

The Baby's room is ready...filled with onsies, hats, socks, cute little sleepers and hooded robes, toys and stuffed animals, pacifiers , blankets and The Rocker. She'll be the best dressed baby girl on the block!
Now all we need is a name for the Baby. Someone suggested naming her "Princess" because so many outfits and hats were already embroidered with that name, but I think she was joking;) Nathan and I have a few favorites, but I guess we're just going to have to wait and see her precious face to decide which one fits her best. All we do know is that we want her middle name to be Marie, same as mine. Picking a name is really the hardest part of this whole story...I'll keep you posted and let you know how it ends :)

The Baby Shower

It was a terrific afternoon with friends and family :) Thank you!
